Ministry of Home Affairs Civilian Scholarship (Specialist) - Internal Security
The Ministry of Home Affairs Civilian Scholarship (Specialist) - Internal Security is awarded to all-rounded individuals who are passionate about strengthening Singapore's safety, security and sovereignty in a civilian appointment. Depending on your interests and aspirations, you will have the opportunity to choose from diverse roles in research analysis, technology, engineering, data science and more.

ISD Junior College and Polytechnic Scholarship
The ISD Junior College and Polytechnic Scholarship is awarded to all-rounded individuals who are keen to experience how ISD counters threats to Singapore's internal security.
Eligibility
Be a current Junior College Year 1, International Baccalaureate Year 5, Polytechnic Year 1 and 2 student
Have an interest to explore a career with ISD after graduation
Have a passion for keeping Singapore safe, secure and sovereign
Possess good academic and co-curricular activity record
Possess strong leadership qualities and potential
Be a Singapore Citizen

Gain deeper insights into the work of ISD through placement on a 2-day ISD Immersion Programme

Application process
Applications are open from 1 November to 31 January each year. Shortlisted applicants must submit an essay and undergo an interview. Successful candidates will be notified by end May.
Internships
Work on real-world projects guided by experienced mentors and gain first-hand insight into the intelligence field.
Cyber security and intelligence
Develop a practical understanding of how we deal with threats to Singapore’s internal security emanating from the cyber domain.
Data science & Artificial Intelligence
Experience how ISD deploys data collection, visualisation, analytics and modelling to derive intelligence from seemingly unrelated data points.
Technology
Be exposed to new cutting-edge technologies and its applications. You will also have the opportunity to solve real-world security challenges.
Security education
Gain a clear understanding of ISD’s role in safeguarding Singapore, research key domestic security issues, and assist with our community outreach efforts.
