Issuance of Orders of Detention under the Internal Security Act (ISA) against three self-radicalised Singaporean youths

Three self-radicalised male Singaporean youths were separately issued with Orders of Detention (ODs) under the Internal Security Act (ISA) in April, May and June 2026, respectively. Though their cases are not related, all three were self-radicalised online by violent extremist ideologies, and had made preparations to conduct local attacks.

In March 2026, two self-radicalised male Singaporeans, 30-year-old Tarmizi bin Mohd Taha (Tarmizi) and 19-year-old Cyrus Dzulqarnain Al-Shahriar (Cyrus), were issued with an Order of Detention (OD) and a Restriction Order (RO) under the Internal Security Act (ISA) respectively. While their cases are not related, both their radicalisation was triggered by the ongoing Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
